Supporter Spotlight: Mark Evans and Conversations With Impact

John Nellis • November 17, 2025

Mark Evans is a coach and a therapist who takes a different approach to his business partnership and fundraising for HOPE.

Conversations With Impact do just that. Mark runs workshops for businesses and 1-2-1 sessions for individuals that aim to make the difference his clients want to see in their organisations or in their lives.

When Mark decided to raise money for a local charity, he wanted to do so by using his skills to fundraise as he worked.

Without the resources to put on specific events like an in-office cake sale or raffle, for example, Mark donates the money paid for specific sessions to HOPE.

This ‘cause-related’ marketing campaign allows both his business and our charity to benefit.

Utilising your everyday was a key topic of our conversation. He uses what he would be doing, nevertheless, to support HOPE and is realistic in his commitment.

Mark told us that “some days you can worry that you are not doing enough, but you can only do what you can. So far, I have raised £1500 for HOPE through Conversations With Impact, and I know that continual small effort is both appreciated by the Charity and helps me to avoid burnout.”

He first heard about HOPE through a networking event where he met Partnerships Manager, Martin Robinson. A few years earlier, Mark’s good friend Annie had passed away from breast cancer, and HOPE felt like a natural fit for his pre-existing desire to support local charity.

Personal experience of therapy drew Mark to his current career. He was blown away by the fact that the therapist seemed to have such a fundamental understanding of him after such a short time.

Consequently, he chose to qualify in the field and spent 15 years working with students and staff at De Montfort University.

Conversations With Impact started as a sideline, but when Mark was made redundant, he realised it was something he could take on full-time.

Unfortunately, during COVID, when everyone was firefighting or furloughed, his client base fell away, but this allowed Mark to pivot into a wider audience and to write books.

Mark supports HOPE both personally and professionally. Alongside his professional donations, he ran a 10K at Run Leicester 2025, raising an additional £1000!

What strikes us most is Mark’s efforts to put his own coaching advice into action. He runs sessions on helping with burnout, emotional intelligence and anything else that a company or person needs… and he works in the same way to support HOPE.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Mark, owner of Conversations With Impact, for all his support.
